History of KONSORCJUM STALI S.A., headquartered in Zawiercie in its current form, is the history of two companies: BODEKO Sp. z o.o. from Zawiercie and KONSORCJUM STALI Sp. z o.o. from Warsaw.
In 2007, the owners of both companies made a historic decision to merge and enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
As a result of the merger in 2008, the company KONSORCJUM STALI S.A. was established with its headquarters in Warsaw.

Key Dates:

- December 1989 – start of operations by
BODEKO s.c.
- December 2000 – transformation of BODEKO s.c.
into BODEKO Sp. z o.o.
- April 2005 – launch of commercial branches in the following locations:

Białystok
Poznań
Sępólno Krajeńskie
Warsaw – Bielany
and the Construction Reinforcement Production Plant in Warsaw – Bielany

- May 2007 – launch of the Construction Reinforcement Production Plant in Poznań

- January 1992 – registration of the civil partnership Budo-Market
- 1997 – acquisition of shares in Konsorcjum Stali Sp. z o.o.
- June 1999 – merger of three companies:
Budo-Market, Stalko, and Stal-Hurt
into one entity – Konsorcjum Stali Sp. z o.o. – operations in three
commercial branches
- January 2001 – launch of a Commercial Branch
in Warsaw-Ursus
- March 2002 – launch of a Commercial Branch
in Kraków
- August 2003 – acquisition of Zbrostal Sp. z o.o.
and launch of the Construction Reinforcement Production Plant in Warsaw – Ursus
- May 2, 2007 – transformation of Konsorcjum Stali Sp. z o.o. into a joint-stock company
